- Medical Profile Software
The second component is our innovative online Medical Profile Software. Anytime you log-in as a member, you will be directed to the Member Homepage. This is your private area where instant updates can be made to your Medical Profile and copies can be printed out. Also from here you can access your Online Vault, order updated wallet cards, purchase additional products, and more. Access is available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day from anywhere in the world and remains secure with 256-bit encryption and password protection.

- Secure Online Vault
The third component is 15 MB of secure Online Vault space. It is intended to hold information such as important phone numbers, credit card info, driver’s license number, living will, power-of-attorney, passport info, and more. This area is accessed securely from your Members Homepage and helps you recover information in the event your wallet is lost or stolen. We recommend that complete medical records, photos, and items of a more personal nature should be kept on a Portable USB Vault. Access is available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day from anywhere in the world and remains secure with 256-bit encryption and password protection.

- Medical Alert Labels
The fourth component is a series of highly visible Alert Labels. They were specifically designed to notify first responders that you have “Life Saving” medical information available. On The Road MD members will receive the following:
- 2 Auto Labels - Recommended placements are on the driver side window above the door handle and on a second vehicle, RV, camper, trailer, etc. These alert first responders that Medical Information is in your wallet or on a key chain (Portable USB Vault).
- 2 Wallet Labels - Recommended placement is directly inside your wallet when folded or affixed to your driver’s license. This alerts first responders that a Medical Emergency Wallet Card is present.
- 1 House Label - Recommended placement is by your front door. This alerts first responders that Medical Information is inside your refrigerator door. A refrigerator is almost universally found in the kitchen making it easy to locate. Being inside the door keeps your documents safe and the outside of your refrigerator clutter free.
- 1 Red Medical Alert Bag (10” x 12”) - Recommended placement is taped inside your refrigerator where it will be easy to spot. Highly visible and large enough to hold a printed version of your Medical Profile and other important documents (EKGs, a living will, doctor records, etc.).

- Medical Fax Service
The fifth component is a unique way of using a standard technology to save lives. Our Emergency Fax Service allows a black and white copy of your Medical Profile Summary (see example) to be transmitted to a hospital while en route. Our Emergency Response Center is available to first responders 24/7. They simply call the toll free number printed on your wallet card and provide us with the emergency room fax number and some basic membership information. Your records are immediately transmitted to the hospital.
How can this save your life? Being transported to a hospital takes time and in an emergency situation, seconds could literally be the difference between life and death. This is especially true in rural areas where hospitals can take a long time to reach. Even in urban areas, normal traffic and detours can cause serious delays.
Think of how valuable it would be if your medical records were faxed ahead to the emergency room staff. Instantly, they have your complete medical profile and can be better prepared. Upon your arrival, they are able to provide you with faster and more accurate medical attention.

- Portable USB Vault (optional)
The last component is an electronic storage device that we call the portable USB Vault. It’s small enough to be carried on your key chain and marked with the universal medical emergency “Star of Life” symbol for easy identification. Think of this as a secure briefcase that is large enough to hold all of your medical records and documents (X-rays, EKG, medical charts, living will, power-of-attorney, pictures, legal documents, and more). There are two sections within your USB Vault, one is public and one is private.
The public section is available to first responders when the USB device is plugged into any computer. This area is much smaller and designed to hold the current version of your PDF Medical Profile only. PDF is a secure file format for storing digital documents. Your PDF Medical Profile can be updated and downloaded anytime from the Member Homepage. This version of your Medical Profile also serves as a backup if your wallet is ever lost or stolen.
The private section uses 256-bit encryption and password protection to ensure that only you can access its content. Our military uses this same protection. This area is much larger and designed to hold all of your digital medical records and documents. The private section and encryption are only compatible with Windows based computers.
